Qualifications:
* Minimum of two-year technical degree or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education required
* Previous sales or product support experience with successful track record of sales and negotiating skills preferred
* Knowledge of agriculture industry, equipment, basic mechanics, and the local market preferred, which includes agricultural, recreational, lawn and garden, and landscaping equipment
* Ability and willingness to travel
* A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is a must (CDL a plus)
* Strong written and oral communication skills with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and business acumen
* Basic knowledge of accounting and equipment financing
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the Internet
* Thrives on working in a team environment with the ability to multitask in a complex environment
* High energy, excellent self-motivation and work ethic, and versatile and enthusiastic personality
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to get along well with others and to actively pursue ways to help people

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing marketing support to the Parts, Service, and Sales Departments with emphasis on promoting and increasing brand recognition and loyalty.  Responsibilities also include customer management, providing excellent customer service, coordinating and/or assisting with public relations events and promotional items, promoting brand identity, advertising, Internet presence. Position should be also able to analyze information to determine which programs, materials are utilizing advertising dollars.

Qualifications:

  • Two years post-secondary education or equivalent education and experience; marketing degree highly desirable
  • Two years customer service experience preferably in an agriculture-related discipline
  • Experience in marketing and aftermarket industry is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record required along with the ability and willingness to travel to events and other Miller Sellner locations
  • Ability to use software applications with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet functions; Photoshop skills a plus, or willingness to learn new software to achieve marketing materials

Essential Job Functions: 
Marketing and Advertising Collaborative:

  • Focus on driving after-market sales
  • Coordination of monthly sales marketing plans
  • Responsible for company website maintenance
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of social media, broadcast media, and digital advertising campaigns including but not limited to utilization of eBay, Craigslist, Facebook, and other Internet and social media websites, print advertising, radio, cellphone, and email
  • Employ marketing analytic techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings, etc.)
  • Maintain floor displays (cleaning/reorganizing/moving) and seasonal displays in browsing area and showroom (excludes sales department and snowmobile/red area, however, assist as needed) and work towards uniformity at all four locations
  • Create promotions together with and encompassing all departments and then communicating the promotions to the customer and general public
  • Rebate management
  • Marketing and sale of toys and novelty items
  • Develop and/or participate in clinics when applicable
  • Identify potentially new business opportunities that may lead to targeted profitable growth in support of the company’s business objectives.
  • Maintain open communications with parts, sales, and service team members to maintain current understanding of company products and services
 
Brand Identity:
  • Participate in functions that help promote our brand identity
  • Select and/or design customer giveaways
  • Coordinate employee clothing; from vendor and style selection to sign-ups and placing orders
 
Assist and coordinate promotions, registrations, set up, execution, and break down of:
  • Clinics and customer meetings
  • Parades
  • Open House events
  • Farmfest
  • Other promotional events that build relationships and increase company visibility such as company-sponsored activities, trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and other similar activities
